Workstation - Gantry Crane

A full or semi-gantry crane is a type of overhead crane with a single or double girder configuration supported by freestanding legs that move on wheels or along a track or rail system. Gantry cranes are usually considered when there is a reason not to incorporate an overhead runway system. They are also available in portable steel or aluminum.

Unlike bridge cranes, gantry cranes don’t require permanent runway beams and support columns since they require a building’s support structure. Aluminum Gantry Cranes

Aluminum Gantry Cranes are lightweight, portable, and remain stable under various loads and are more convenient to assemble than bridge and jib cranes. We recommend this crane subset to contractors who need easily moveable and adaptable equipment to transport in their service trucks. Only a small team is needed to move a disassembled crane in complicated and challenging locations and to assemble, position, and lift heavy objects quickly. Corrosion-resistant aluminum gantry cranes are also suitable for refrigerated areas and controlled environments, ideal for HVAC contractors.

Steel gantry cranes

Steel gantry cranes are made from heavy-gauge, rectangular steel tubing, a cost-effective and lighter option for transmitting different loads. Their use of spring-loaded steel locking pins allows easy height adjustments while the lack of brace legs gives more I-beam length for lifting. Functioning becomes smooth and frictionless from polyurethane wheels and the swivel locks the crane in place during operations.
